2 competitions will get the nationwide spotlight on Thursday evening in NFL preseason sports betting. New York Requires a quality Competition: The Giants were pretty poor last week in a 24-10 loss to Baltimore. The defense was abysmal and the offense was not a lot greater. Quarterback Eli Manning was rusty last week after missing the earlier week as a result of injury. He was only 9 for 18 for 63 yards and also an interception. As Brandon Jacobs and Ahmad Bradshaw combined for 63 yards, the running game was nothing special.
Backup QB’s – The New England Patriots include Brian Hoyer as their backup to Tom Brady. Because Brady will not play long it will basically be Hoyer’s competition. He’s been pretty good in relief of Brady in the preseason so the New England Patriots are not hopeless. After Eli Manning leaves the competition on Thursday, the Giants have a serious difficulty. Their backup is Jim Sorgi yet he has been hurt. It’s been third-string quarterback Rhett Bomar who’s been getting most of the action. He doesn’t in fact offer you much confidence. You have to worry about Bomar playing poorly, though you could like to make your wager on the Giants in this competition vs the NFL preseason probabilities.
